Gemma Singh is the founder and owner of Heart Of Gem Inc. She believes that beauty exudes from both the inside and the outside. When a woman looks radiant, it builds her confidence, her strength and her ability for chase after her own dreams. Being able to provide this gift to other women is something that truly brings Gemma happiness.

Born on the beautiful island of Trinidad and Tobago, she travelled to the United States and pursued a degree from Bernard Baruch College in Operations Management and Industrial Psychology.

In 2019 she left her job after 23 years in the apparel industry, and opened her store, Heart of Gem in Richmond Hill. Being the bold, innovative entrepreneur she is, she also saw this as a perfect opportunity to sell Sacha Cosmetics, a makeup brand from her homeland, and Touchstone Crystal by Swarovski, a high-end yet affordable fashion jewlery line.

In the past four years, Gemma has established Heart Of Gem as a cornerstone of the community, empowering women in Richmond Hill to fearlessly be themselves. Gemma has also leveraged Heart of Gem to give back to her community, from donating to non-profits to taking her team to volunteer at local events. Gemma is a firm believer in businesses supporting their communities and has been recognized for her work on the borough, city, state, and congressional levels. Due to her community work, high moral values and inherent beliefs of helping those in need she selected to serve on the prestigious Community Board 10.

In addition, Gemma became a Real Estate Agent in 2022 and has since been working to find homes for New York State residents. She provides unwavering guidance and support to individuals and families throughout the entire process of finding a new home. It gives Gemma great joy to see the smiles on her clients faces of being satisfied with her sincere efforts.

Gemma continues to be an advocate, community voice, and hard-working mother, to inspire and uplift those around her.
